30-Day Fundraising Challenge

Join our 30-Day Fundraising Challenge!  Help us raise $50,000 in 30 days. All proceeds will go toward building and equipping the vocational training workshop for Friends of Orphans in Northern Uganda.  Click here for more information on the vocational training workshop. Here's how it works:

1.  Sign up to be an Xslaves.org 30-Day Fundraising Challenge Volunteer. Just fill out the volunteer registration form below.

Fill out the form below to commit to raising a minimum of $100 and signing up 5 or more friends in 30 days. Your 5 friends must also be willing to commit to raising $100 and signing up 5 or more friends to do the same.  Tell the volunteers you recruit to register as a volunteer by filling out the form below.

2.  By signing up, you are committing to: a) raise a minimum of $100 in the next 30 days, and b) signing up a minimum of 5 friends who will also raise a minimum of $100 and recruit 5 or more friends to do the same. When you recruit your friends, make sure they sign up on our website as a volunteer. Each volunteer will have 30 days to raise the funds and recruit 5 friends from the time he or she signs up.
3. There are lots of ways to raise $100 or more. You can ask family members, neighbors or friends to donate. You can e-mail people you know. You can stand outside a grocery store and ask for donations. You can have a bake sale or a car wash. Use your imagination. It's a great cause so it should not be hard to raise the money.
4.  The easiest way to collect the money is to accept a check made out to "Xslaves.org" and send it to:
Xslaves.org
PO Box 2672
Rancho Santa Fe, CA 92067
Donations are tax deductible so anyone who writes a check will automatically get a receipt acknowledging their contribution.

You can also collect cash donations and send them to the Xslaves.org address above.
5.  Explaining to people why they should give is easy. Just tell them you are an Xslaves.org volunteer, and you are raising money to build a vocational training center for former child soldiers in Northern Uganda. Generally, that is all you will have to say, but you may want to show or e-mail people more information.

There are 5 documents that might be helpful to you in raising money and recruiting volunteers.  You can download these documents, print them out as hand-outs, and mail or e-mail them to potential donors and volunteers. Just click on the links below to download.
1) Brief Overview Presentation
2) Brochure (Good to hand out to potential donors)
3) Rendering of Future Vocational Training Workshop- Exterior View
4) Rendering of Future Vocational Training Workshop- Interior View
5) Sample Donor Solicitation Letter

Be sure to read the information on our website so you know as much about our cause as possible. If you have questions, feel free to e-mail us at info@xsalves.org.
6.  Although we have a minimum commitment of raising $100 and recruiting 5 friends, we would encouage you to go beyond that and challenge yourself to raise as much as you can and recruit as many friends as you can.  Once you have met your minimum of $100 and 5 friends, feel free to keep going beyond 30 days if you feel you can continue to help raise money.  We have created 4 levels of volunteer recognition:
1) Volunteers who raise $100- Xslaves.org Team Member
2) Volunteers who raise $500- Xslaves.org Silver Team Member
3) Volunteers who raise $1000- Xslaves.org Gold Team Member
4) Volunteers who raise $2500+- Xslaves.org Platinum Team Member
Participating as an Xslaves.org volunteer is a great way to help kids who really need our help. It's also a great way to get valuable leadership experience in fund-raising and team building. Finally, it will look really good on your college application or resume.

Thanks for volunteering. Get started with the 30-Day Fundraising Challenge today!
